Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 5, 2026
Texas Star Title & Loans (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information—including nonpublic personal information (“NPI”)—in connection with our websites, borrower portal, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). It is intended to align with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”) Privacy Rule and applicable provisions of the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act (Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 521, “ITEPA”), among other laws.
Credit Access Business. We operate as a Credit Access Business (“CAB”) in Texas. In that role, we may arrange loans between you and an independent third-party lender. We collect information to evaluate and service your request and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information, including NPI:
- Identifiers and contact data: name, mailing address, email address, telephone numbers, and online identifiers associated with your use of the Services.
- Government identifiers: Social Security number (“SSN”) or other tax identification when permitted and necessary for verification, underwriting, or regulatory compliance.
- Financial information: income, employment, bank account details (when you choose to provide them), and loan-related information.
- Application and account activity: loan application data, communications, documents you upload, portal activity, and similar records.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and cookies or similar technologies where used.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Process and evaluate loan applications and manage accounts;
- Communicate with you about your application, account, and servicing;
- Verify identity and detect, prevent, and address fraud or security issues;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and audit requirements;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services; and
- With appropriate consent where required, send marketing communications.
3. How we share information
We may disclose information, including NPI, to:
- Third-party lenders and financing partners to arrange, fund, or service a loan you request or obtain through us;
- Service providers that assist us with technology, communications, payment processing (which is performed by third-party processors—we do not store full payment card data on our servers), identity verification, collections, or similar functions, subject to confidentiality and use limitations;
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Where we use online advertising or analytics partners, we configure those tools consistent with our agreements and applicable law.
4. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect NPI against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to protect your devices.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example, lending and anti-fraud recordkeeping).
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on your relationship with us and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain information, or to restrict certain processing. You may contact us using the information below. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
Opt-out of marketing and certain sharing
You may opt out of marketing contacts from Texas Star Title & Loans and its affiliates (including promotional email and, where you previously provided consent, marketing SMS) by:
- Emailing us at the address on our website or in your loan documents with “Marketing opt-out” in the subject line;
- For text messages, replying STOP to any marketing message from us, if applicable; and
- Updating your preferences in the borrower portal where that feature is available.
Opting out of marketing does not opt you out of important transactional or legal notices about your account or application. Some information sharing with lenders or processors may still be required to service your loan or meet legal obligations. For GLBA-related sharing, we provide additional notices where required.
7. Children
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated “Last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice or obtain consent.
9. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact Texas Star Title & Loans using the contact information published on our website or provided in your loan documents.
